CBD oil is a popular product in India due to its medicinal properties. It is not a psychoactive compound like THC or tetrahydrocannabinol. The NDPS Act of 1985 exempts cannabis seeds and leaves from being considered narcotics. CBD oil is legal for medicinal use as long as it doesn't contain THC exceeding 0.3% concentration. The Ministry of AYUSH has specific guidelines for CBD oil's legality, including warning labels and regulating the sale of Schedule E(1) substances.
